Week 110: Friday, 5th to Thursday, 11th March 2021

Playdoh was Henry’s first go to this Friday having a lovely play before going to mummy’s work to drop off some things. He enjoyed showing off his number skills once he got over some shyness. He was pleased to get a gift of mini sweeping brush and a tin train with biscuits in from one of our neighbours before completing some crafts.

On Saturday, we returned to Harold Park – one of our favourite haunts at the moment – to enjoy the springy Jeep and climbing frame. We visited the football pitch today and chased each other around. On the way home, we visited Grandpa David at the farm having a tour of the cowsheds, making friends with the dogs, stroking cows, meeting the new calves and being allowed to sit in both the tractor and the Caterpillar digger too! Sunday saw us visit Scatcherd Park in Morley as Middleton Park was too busy. Henry demanded cake for lunch, shouting it at us a lot… Afterwards, we did more garden jobs, visited the park and rode his bike around, with Henry telling mummy which way we were going, but wanted carrying home.

During the week at his child minder’s, Henry played with cars, animals, a colour matching game – he’s doing really well in learning his colours now – and role-played with a tea set, forcing his child minder to have endless cups of tea. At the parks they visited, he kept trying to climb steps to bigger slides but never quite managed it. He ended up chasing the others around and being chased by them. He spent a long time playing with coloured rice and scooping it between different pans. Like Friday, Playdoh held his attention for a long time on Thursday.
