Week 112: Friday, 19th to Thursday, 25th March 2021

Friday began with Henry listening to brass band music and having lots of fun with Grandad David as usual. Dartmouth Park in Morley was visited and Henry enjoyed climbing up to the big slide. Henry visited Ted, Grandad David’s dog, on the way home, feeding him lots of treats and throwing his ball for him to chase. He also had lots of fun with a banana hat that daddy brought home from work.

On Saturday, Henry wanted to paint so we made some dinosaur handprint cards. After that, he decided he wanted to bake – he did most of the tipping and mixing ingredients together on his own, really enjoying cracking the eggs open. He was desperate to play with Kit as she was playing with mummy and her string – it didn’t last long though as she got scared pretty quickly. In the bath that evening, he started using the sponge to wash himself.

On Sunday, we went for a walk along the canal in Mirfield. We saw geese, ducks, boats and men fishing before stopping at a park. Back at home, we played with Playdoh, making eight legs for Incy Wincy and then Henry did lots of drumming with pens on the Playdoh tub. He decided to wear his banana skin as a hat during tea, finding that really funny.

At his childminder’s this week they visited Thornhill Park, Victoria Park and Harold Park. At those places, he collected sticks, played in a little stream, and explored the equipment for a while. At Harold Park, they managed to walk the daily mile. He kept on wanting the car box out along with stickle bricks, animals and pots and pans. Again, he had some noisy time, banging kids together and dancing with friends. He was also very excited by the bubble machine!
