Friday, 17th July 2020: Seventy-seven weeks old

Grandpa David came round for breakfast this morning and we had toast and cereal before watching our last Rhythm Time for the Summer Term. Henry was very pleased to have his name mentioned by Lauren, the teacher. He joined in with playing instruments, particularly enjoying hitting his drum. We went out for a walk to the park when it had finished and Henry took Grandpa David to the slide and swing for some playground fun. When we got home he played with his magnetic farm book before one of the great excitements of the day – Auntie Emma arrived! Henry was really happy to see her and we went out to Wilton Park in Batley so Henry could show off his walking. We met daddy there and had an ice cream. Henry and mummy shared, but only Henry got it round his mouth! We fed the geese and ducks some peas, but Henry stole a few rather than throw them for the animals!

After tea came the second great excitement of the day – Grandpa Eric arrived! Henry was a bit unsure at first as he hadn’t seen him for such a long time, but they were soon firm friends, with Henry passing all his toys to him to have a look at. Henry showed Grandpa Eric round the garden, feeding the fish and pointing out lots of plants. He had a late night, but went straight to sleep after his very busy day.
