Today we visited Bamburgh Castle and the beach. Once again, Henry didn’t really appreciate looking around an old building and there were quite a few places mummy couldn’t take him as there were lots of steps up to the castle walls. Daddy went and took lots of photos so mummy and Henry could see the view.
After a picnic bag lunch we put the pram back in the car and put Henry in the backpack to visit the beach. It was rather cold, but this didn’t stop mummy taking Henry down to the water for a paddle. Henry was sporting the ‘very trendy look’ of shorts, a vest and his woolly hat. It was absolutely freezing, so we only had a very quick paddle before Henry turned purple and mummy raced him back to daddy to dry off and put some layers on! He had just got dressed again and destroyed the sandcastle daddy had made when the rain started… oh my goodness… we got very wet on the way back to the car!
For tea we had a lovely takeaway pizza from The Milan restaurant in Wooler. Henry was clearly very tired as he was asleep quickly, ready for our final day of the holiday.
