Grandpa David came round for breakfast and to play with Henry as he usually does on a Friday. Henry did his usual trick of managing to eat his own breakfast and some of Grandpa’s too by smiling sweetly at him…
We had planned a geocaching outing at Nostell Priory today and mummy made a picnic ready to take with us. When we got parked up at Nostell, we got searching for geocaches straight away. Mummy had found one before daddy had even put the pram together! On our very long walk round, we found 16 caches in total and Henry did lots of walking and exploring. He would not have a nap and that combined with it being very hot, meant for quite a grumpy afternoon. He did eventually fall asleep in the car on the way home and woke up in a better mood.
After tea, he brought mummy her shoes (a slight hint at wanting to go outside) and led the way to the park. After a swing and a few goes on the slide he got up and walked towards the gate to show he’d finished playing! Thank goodness we don’t have to say, ‘Just one more turn.’ Well, not just at the moment anyway! Henry walked home and straight into the back garden as he knows it’s his job to feed the fish – he did a good job as always and went in for a bath before bed.
