Today we travelled to Northumberland for our holiday in Wooler. We made a couple of stops on the way there, one at a service station for a drink and the other at Beamish, the living museum of the North. Henry’s favourite things at Beamish were the band room in the pit village, the buses which were parked in the depot and the horses – one of them tickled his foot!
When we arrived at our cottage for the week, Henry had a good look round and was very pleased to see an enormous television! We popped to the nearby shop to get something for tea and Henry was once again very pleased as he discovered that raspberries and fromage frais are also available outside of Yorkshire.
