We visited Wentworth Castle Gardens today. When we got to the gardens, we let Henry lead the way – there was lots of wandering backwards and forwards, exploring the paths and woods, but mostly trotting up and down an arched tunnel up at the castle. He spent a long time running in and out of a ruined tower and shouting to tell us all about it! We went back down to the garden, then Henry took us all the way back up to the tunnel! He ran in and out of it lots more times then mummy tempted him back down the hill with a snack. He had a lovely time but was worn out by the time we got back to the car. He fell straight asleep but managed to wake up for a bun when we visited The Ribbon Tree on our way home. Henry had pizza for tea and bit holes in each slice as usual. He had a splashy bath and enjoyed a story about a tickly octopus before going straight to sleep.
