Henry is 2 today! He spent the day with his Childminder and friends so at least he was able to celebrate a lockdown birthday. After the school run, Henry went to Crow Nest Park. It was a bit cold and slippy but that didn’t stop him from finding sticks and going on roundabouts. They had party food for lunch and everyone sang Happy Birthday. Henry was more interested in eating his Stick Man bun than blowing his candles out… In the afternoon he found an army cap which he wore all afternoon, saying “hat” and playing with Duplo and stackers.
When he got home, he opened a few of his birthday presents and had a go on his new bike. We sang Happy Birthday (which Henry just shouted “NO” to) and took some cake round to our neighbours. Grandpa David came round for a special birthday tea of sausage, mash and peas and Henry had another doorstep visitor in the evening to drop off yet another birthday present. He went to bed a very tired, but lucky 2-year-old.
