With mummy on Friday, Henry made banana bread, with Henry enjoying mashing the bananas and mixing all the ingredients together. He received his new buggy today and he loved climbing in and out of it! On Saturday, we did lots of garden jobs with Henry helping us plant lots of seeds, using his watering can, investigating a worm and helping clean out the pond. He helped a neighbour clean his car, played in the park and all of this activity clearly made him hungry as, not only did he steal mummy’s apple and eat the whole thing, but we struggled to fill him up at teatime too.
Sunday featured Henry reading Stick Man with mummy for a World Book Day video for her school. He struggled to focus on much today, playing with things for very short periods of time before moving on. We decided to visit Shibden Park in the afternoon to have some fresh air. When settling down that evening, he was very cutely singing Heads, Shoulders, Knees and Toes and Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star.
At his childminder’s this week, they visited Oakwell Park, Batley Park and our local park. All week he has been identifying things, saying their names and passing them to others. He’s also been on lots of long walks in woods, playing around with pots and pans, as usual, as well as spending time singing and dancing. He got very excited when the doctor’s set came out! This excitement was surpassed when a megaphone appeared though… Henry loves noises!
